In this The Heart of the Story with Gary Metivier we meet an amazing group of women who made history by making bombers, tanks and so much more. With so many men off fighting in World War II --women entered the workforce in record numbers to fill the void. The icon became known as Rosie the Riveters for their work putting the rivets into planes to connect the metal. Their slogan is "we can do it." and they sure did.
We sit down with the largest group of Rosie's still with us--most in their late 90's --to share their stories.
